In the book Possessed by Kate Cann,Rayne has gotten a new job out of the estate.Shes really happy because she didn't like all the noises in the estate.Little did she know that the place she's working at was haunted.Everyone kept on saying how crazy she is to live near the house but she didn't listen so she stayed.Even im not crazy enough to stay there maybe yes some of those stories aren't true but it looks creepy and when it's night time there's always someone making noise.Even though I'm only half way through the book I can infer on some things. I can infer that Rayne needs to stop letting her mom and boyfriend boss her around.She needs to stand up for herself and not lie to them anymore.If she keeps on lieing to them then shes never gonna leave her past behind.
One way I know that Rayne let's her boyfriend and her mom boss her around is because she didn't want to leave at first because her mom said that she has to stay in the estate.If I was Rayne I would leave because I'm already old enough to have a life of my own.Her boyfriend bosses her around to.For example,whenever she wants to wear a cute dress her boyfriend says no because he doesn't want to be seen with a girl wearing that dress.If he was my boyfriend I wouldn't care what he thought if he doesn't like my style then he should leave.Boyfriends are suppose to judge girlfriends.Another way her mom bosses her around is that she always tells Rayne to stay with Damian her boyfriend because he will protect them.Her mom shouldn't be picking her boyfriends for her.Rayne should just break up with Damian because they are never gonna love each other.Damian doesn't even actually like her he's just dating her because she's "hot".Rayne shouldn't have runaway thinking that her problems would be solve.She needs to stand up for herself and be brave.
All in all,Sometimes you need to stand up for yourself and never let anyone boss you around telling you how your life should be.I see this in teenagers lives almost every single day being bossed around by there boyfriends like they are dogs obeying there command.You just need to have some courage and do what you have to do.

What would YOU do for water?
I recently finished reading the book The Water Wars by Cameron Stracher it was about how there was not enough water around the world for everyone,so these wars occur.These wars occurred all around the world and Vera meets Kai and that's when it all begins.Hopefully though this never happens in the real world.The truth is we cant stand many days without water but with out food we can survive for months.Cameron Stracher really describes the world and how it would be like if we ran out of water.Also how people would risk ANYTHING just to have a drop of water.This book make me realize how little we care about water (well specifically teenagers).In the book they treat water very differently then we do now.
One way I notice how in the book they treat water differently then we do is for example, teenagers tend to drink soda or juice but they don't like water.Even some kids are forced to drink water,but in this book anyone would be happy to drink water they would be lucky to even have a drop of water.Another example is in the book, people were very protective over their water, they practically guarded it with there lives.In the real world people wouldn't let a bullet go through them for water.Also in the book it was said that if you let a drop of water go to waste (for example drop if you drop it on the floor) then you can get arrested and even killed.In the real world this wouldn't happen no one would care they would think its just water.A third example is we use water for pools and taking a bath right? but in this dystopian world they have things called "dry baths"which I have no idea how it works and they don't have pools because the refer to that as a waste of water.This book was set in the future and the would mention the past (present for us) a lot saying how we didn't take care of water, and how we used water for useless reasons (pools,taking a bath).This get's me worried because what if this actually happens one day we would be fighting water because there would not be enough water for everyone.
All in all, this made me see the world differently after reading this book.This book taught me to be greatful for the the thing I have because maybe some day there would not be enough of it for everyone.It also taught me to drink water now that its here and now that there is enough for everyone.Teenagers should read this book so that they can to learn something about it and not to waste water and take care of it.Overall I really loved this book I recommend this book to everyone, if you love dystopian books this is a great book for you!

Money or the environment? You choose
In the book The Lorax By Dr.Seuss I notice something that is very common around the world.Big business tend to be selfish and not care about what they are doing to the world.This disappoints me because even though were suppose to be helping out the world most people don't care,they just want money.We need to take care of the environment and make sure nothing happens to it.We shouldn't have to care about money,we shouldn't be selfish and destroy the world for our purposes.All in all,the message overall is to help the world once in a while and never let anyone destroy the world not for money not for anything.Also another message could be that some business can be greedy.
One reason I know that the message is that some business can be greedy and only care about money is in the book it showed how the man was cutting down the trees for his business.Those trees are important the people who live there.Who knows maybe they need it for oxygen just like we need trees for oxygen,but each day people in the real world are cutting down trees for pencils and tools etc.Yes,there are all of trees in the world maybe were not gonna die if a few trees are cut down but people can do little things each day to save the world.For example,you could use both sides of a sheet of paper,you can recycle paper,you could recycle your bottle.These little things can make a difference each day.Another way business are being greedy is because when they cut down the trees they don't realize that could be someone's home.They need those trees for food but if you cut them down what are they gonna eat?Imagine it like this someone coming to your house and taking it apart how would you like it? Overall these are some of the reasons why you have to stop and think how can I change the world?
In conclusion,Some people don't realize how harsh they are until you actually show and tell them your self.Most people don't realize what little things they can do to save the world.Such a little thing can make a big difference.
